Acts of Kindness
Washing each other’s feet is not something we practice nowadays, however, in the time of Jesus, giving water to wash your feet was a sign of hospitality, and washing a guest’s feet were a sign of servitude.
The story we read this week is the story of a woman that served Jesus out of gratitude. After a long day, Jesus’ feet were covered in dirt, when all of a sudden, a woman came up to Jesus, washed his feet with her tears, dried them with her hair, and covered them with expensive perfume. Jesus acknowledges her hospitality.
What are some ways we can show hospitality to others? After reading this story, how have your thoughts on showing hospitality changed?
We hope you enjoy reading this week’s story!
