The Most Valuable Thing
The parable for this week is the parable of the Pearl. It is the story of a merchant who sold everything in his possession to buy this valuable pearl. It is a parable that makes us wonder; what is something most valuable to me? What am I willing to do to get my pearl?
Traditionally, this parable was interpreted as Jesus being the most valuable pearl. We come to realize that all our blessings and every good thing we received comes from Jesus.
Another way of interpreting this parable is wondering what is something I am most passionate for. It makes us wonder if we’ve searched for what this pearl could be in our lives. It makes us think about what we could be most passionate about. Do you have this pearl in your lives?
We hope you enjoy reading and reflecting on this story!
