Healing Words
This week, we will be looking at the story of Jesus healing an official’s son.
Jesus did not touch the boy, nor did Jesus even see him. It was through a few simple words the boy was healed; “Go back home, Your son is alive.” All that was needed were just a few words for Jesus to heal.
Through this story, Jesus shows us the importance and power in words. There are tremendous power in words. With a few words, we can bring healing to others and give them strength when they are exhausted. There are encouraging words to help us continue striving forward when we want to stop. There are also words that can bring pain and sadness. We need to have an awareness of the kinds of words we use. Are they words that bring healing? or words that bring suffering?
As we read the story of the week, let us meditate on the healing words of Jesus. Enjoy!
