Here’s what’s “happening” at St. Tim’s this weekend!
- Friday Bible Study: we will continue our second study on the gospel of Mark. We have streamlined the format to make it about one hour in length. For the link to the video conference and more information, go here: https://timothypc.com/gospel-of-mark-study/
- Sunday Worship: we will have our online service once again at 12pm this Sunday (April 5). We are so encouraged by the turnout and engagement in our chatbox. Let’s make Sunday worship a rhythm of life for our community while we are hunkered down at home! https://timothypc.com/sunday-worship-april-5/
- Hi-C Online Gathering: Saturday, April 4 at 8pm. Please contact Pastor Dave for more information: dmlee@timothypc.com
- Virtual Gathering for Expecting Parents: Sunday, April 5 at 8pm. For more information, please contact Rev. Simon at spark@timothypc.com.
Holy Week Begins
This Sunday will be the start of Holy Week – the time Jesus enters Jerusalem toward the cross. We will have details about Good Friday and Easter.
This is a time of meditation on the road that Jesus took. As part of this reflection, let us remember the difficulties and sufferings of others. In addition to the hardships of those here at home (eg. those in nursing homes, those with mental health and poverty, etc.), the COVID-19 crisis is expected to hit developing countries hard. Countries that do not have advanced health care systems like ours, countries that may not even have plentiful running water like us to constantly wash our hands.
Please read this reflection by one of our Presbyterian missionaries who was serving in Malawi and just returned to Canada this week: Coronavirus When There Is No Health System
We pray for a blessed weekend!
