Sunday, April 19. 2015, was Inner City Mission Sunday at St Timothy. We celebrated our one-year anniversay at the Sorauren Food Bank in Parkdale. Michelle Kim, the chair of our BOM Inner Mission Committee, shared her perspective on volunteering. Getting involved in the various inner city missions at St Timothy has opened her eyes to the plight of the poor in the city. It’s helped broaden her understanding of the diverse community we live in and challenge the stereotypes that sometimes shapes the way she perceives people. St. Timothy has been supporting Evangel Hall for over 12 years, serving over 18,000 meals. It’s almost been 8 years since first starting the Teesdale Food Bank and Ministry in Scarborough and our first anniversary at the Sorauren Food Bank in Parkdale. Contact us to find out how you can get involved!
