“Christ through the Eyes of Paul: Galatians”
Our church theme for 2023 is “Knowing Christ”. In the spring, we learned about Jesus in the Gospels. This fall, we take a look at how St. Paul saw Christ and what his understanding of Jesus was.
St. Paul was perhaps the most influential figure in the development of Christianity. It is important to see how he saw and understood Christ. This is not merely an intellectual exercise (although understanding some background intellectually is important). The main purpose of this study is to grow deeper in our understanding and faith as followers of Christ. It is to understand what it was that really drove St. Paul to give his life to the cause of advancing Christ. Most importantly, what are the implications of these findings for our lives?
Rev. Kim will use Galatians as the entry point to do all of this. There is nothing like studying the Bible together! It is the solid foundation on which a community is formed. A motto for St. Timothy is that we are a “Community of the Word”. Come and join us for this journey into faith and life!
