Dear Lord
Thank you for being the Mighty God that you are. You are our shelter in storms, you are our counsel in troubling times and You are our comfort and peace. Thank you for being who You are in our lives.
We cannot imagine navigating these tumultuous times without your guidance and strength. Thank you for being with us in our daily walk and in spite of these trying times, that we can still find joy in the gift of Your Grace.
We come before you feeble and broken yet You are strong and merciful. Forgive our trespasses and our weaknesses. We pray You use our weaknesses for your glory and Your glory alone.
We thank you for our St Timothy church and community. We pray this body of Christ can be an example of the salt and light of this world. May we serve one another humbly, gently and reverently; living out your commandment of loving our neighbours as ourselves. You have blessed this community numerously and once again with the recent arrival of baby, Riley and protecting Nicole throughout the delivery.
Continue to be with this family and all our young families. May the foundation of your Word be imprinted within their hearts to grow fruitfully under your care and protection.
We continuously ask the Holy Spirit to watch over our pastoral staff. We lift them up to you, replace their weariness with the physical and spiritual nourishment that is lacking and wanting. Bless their sacrifice and servitude for this church.
We pray for this world and especially our neighbouring country south of us as they finish their election process. Help them to heal their hardened hearts, to listen and discern what is true and just.
Be with them as they unify and solidify their country to promote equality and decency toward one another.
At this time, we prepare our hearts to hear your words through Rev Kim. Bless the insight you have bestowed upon him to convey Your message and teachings. Let us come to You child-like; in purity of heart, to listen without judgment and trust in the living Word. May today’s message bring us more desire and alertness to Your will, in serving You and one another.
We pray all these things in Jesus’ name. Amen
