Lord, we thank You for this community.
As many of us have been apart for months, Your guiding hand of love has kept us together. We pray, Lord, for meaning times of worship as we meet online and in-person, that we feel the strength of our community, in whichever way we meet. May our worship be meaningful and may each of us meet You, as we bring our worship to You.
Lord, this global pandemic has brought many anxieties and stresses in our lives; our whole way of life has changed. May we not get bogged down with fear and anxiety, but may You help us to see clearly and act in love and with wisdom.
As schools have begun to re-open, may You be with the students and teachers, that they be kept safe and provided all the necessary educational and health and safety tools to learn in as normal an environment as possible. And may You be with their parents, knowing they have made the best decision for their children.
As our Monday and Friday bible studies have resumed and as our Tuesday bible study is set to begin, may You be with Rev. Kim and Rev. Simon as they lead us in Your Word, as we seek You and the truth that Your word holds. May we desire to know You deeply, to feed our spiritual growth.
We pray for our sisters and brothers at St. Andrew’s Humber Heights, as they hold their first in-person worship today. We pray for their leaders who have worked tirelessly to prepare the physical space as well as the worship service. May their worship be a blessed time not only to meet You, but also to fellowship with one another safely, after being apart for so long.
As our church prepares for new Elders, may You help us to discern collectively and individually, what this means. May You place a burden on the hearts of those willing to serve, learn and pastorally care for our KSM and ESM congregations. And as a congregation, may You help us to recognize our needs and how to serve and care for one another.
Lord, with so much going on, may we be blessed with Your peace and restful nights of sleep. We also pray for Your grace, strength, wisdom, hope and guiding hand of love.
Be with Rev. Kim as he preaches Your Words on Indebted Heart; may You open our ears and our hearts as Your teachings become real for our lives.
We pray all these things in Your Name,
Amen.
