Lord, we thank You for this community, that despite not being able to physically gather for months, we are kept strong and together within Your love and faithfulness. As the KSM have begun in-person worship services, and as we as an ESM slowly begin in-person service, may we keep You as the centre of our worship, while keeping safe and public health guidelines in our minds.
We thank You for the beautiful summer weather we’ve been having and this sunny and hot day we’re blessed with today for fellowship after service.
We are thankful to have continued meeting as a community through Zoom, whether for prayer, bible studies, fellowship or Sunday service. Thank You for our dedicated pastoral staff, leaders, volunteers and interns who work so hard to keep our community connected.
Thank You for St. Andrew’s Humber Heights who have joined us for worship; Lord, we are one church, one body, in You. May we be blessed by one another’s presence and grow in fellowship together.
During this pandemic, many of us have faced and continue to face difficult times, but it has also given us precious time to be with one another, being able to spend so much time with our family and re-connecting with friends. Thank You for Your hand that continues to guide us, and let us put our focus on You, and not be consumed by our fears and anxieties, but to trust in Your love and grace.
We pray You be with the leaders and people across the world, especially in nations that are suffering heavily due to the pandemic. May You guide the leaders in Your love and strength and may they make the best decisions for the sake of all their peoples.
We thank You for the burden of prayer, that we can so freely share our prayers with one another, ask for prayers and know that You hear and answer our prayers. May we be a prayerful community, growing in our spiritual journey together.
Be with Rev. Simon as he preaches Your words on Finding Hidden Treasure; may You open our ears and our hearts as Your teachings become real for our lives.
We thank You for Your love, grace and hopefulness, and we pray all these things in Your Name. Amen.
