Lord our God maker of heaven and earth, may Your name be glorified throughout the universe.
You’ve created all things for Your please and for our enjoyment. Yet with our selfishness and greed we brought chaos, destruction, war and death.
God, You forgave us time and time again. We thank You for Your patience and Your boundless love. We praise Your name.
Yet again, there is so much hatred and mistrusts in the world and around us today. We are quick to judge and slow to listen. We forget who our neighbours are and don’t see beyond our reach. Forgive us Lord for our short comings and help us to see and do what is righteous.
We pray for the leaders of our countries and our communities. Help them to see clearly what are the needs of the people. Fill them with compassion and desire to serve the people.
With the opening of the schools, there are many who are fearful. Be with the teachers, students and parents and administrators. Help them to be well prepared so that they will minimize the possible spreading of the COVID.
We are hearing of daily incidents of shooting and violence. Help us to help them. Help the leaders to find an effective solutions to the violence and the injustices.
Be with the staff and the leaders of both St. Timothy and St. Andrew Churches. Inspire them and show them and lead them with Your words so that during these times of fear and uncertainties, they can be the sanctuary and a beacon in the midst of the gloomy and dark times.
As we worship You today, may Your words touch our hearts and inspire us to live our lives boldly and compassionately.
We pray in Jesus’ name,
Amen
