Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, broken and tired, and longing for life as we all once knew before. Lord, in the darkness of the world today, we feel paralyzed and numb by what the world is suffering through, and seek a guiding light to help us navigate through these tough times. Lord for what started out as a year of hope and anticipation out of the gate, we find ourselves yet again grinding through each day, as if it was the same day before, in what has become a familiar yet unnatural pattern of life. In a world that has become increasingly connected, we feel further disconnected and closed off.
Yet we stand before you today, unwilling to give up. Lord let us not be distanced and distracted by the noise that surrounds us, but give us the strength and spirit to reject the world’s sins and open ourselves wide. Give us patience as we continue to seek your calling, and Lord let us listen with our heart so we can hear your voice. Lord let us be faithful knowing that you will call, and for when you do Lord, we will heed your command. For what is of this earth Lord, we know only so little, and entrust that day by day, you will carry us through our darkest times.
Lord, this pandemic has touched our lives in such profound ways that we have yet to understand, so let us not lose patience and understanding for each other. Let us be reinvigorated by the hopes of a successful vaccination roll out, and Father guide the world through as we work together to heal mourning hearts, and rebuild broken lives. Lord, we continue to pray for our frontline workers, ones that provide essential services and healthcare, and Father protect the ones that put their lives at risk each day. We pray for our St Timothy community, and that you keep us united and bonded together. Bless our various ministries, and continue to provide for the staff and congregation. We also want to pray for the family of Mr. Hak-Kyu Kim, father of Linda, Grace, and Michael, as they mourn his passing. Lord, provide the family solace and comfort as they mourn.
Lord, we are constantly humbled by you. Your power and grace are abound, and we know God you are a loving and kind God. Forgive us for our sins, and solidfy our faith in you. Let us be confident in our walk, and as we sit in the darkness and wait for you, open our hearts and let us listen for your voice. For we are faithful servants to you, and are listening. Speak through Reverend Inkee today, as we receive your word.
We thank you and pray all in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
