God of all creations and blessings, thank you for this beautiful day to worship you. Although we have not been able to physically congregate at the church, it is our blessing and joy to be able to congregate from our individual houses of praise and prayer.
Lord, it has been beyond anyone’s imagination that the entire humanity would be experiencing something in this magnitude and effect in our life time, and it has truly been the most formidable test we’ve ever faced. The burdens and anguish from the uncertainty of health, finance, and career have taken toll on our lives, but we are thankful that you have been strengthening us to build patience, wisdom, hope, and character to endure this test. There have been moments where our own confidence and comfort level have been tested and shaken, yet we thank you, Lord, for blessing this faith community with the overflowing hearts and empathy for others during the fund raising for Evangel Hall Mission and South Africa. We are confident that you will continue to encourage and bless us for the current drive for the Food Bank.
Lord, our summer comes with the youthful enthusiasm and exuberance from our young adults and summer interns who have been infusing and elevating the livelihood and pulses of this community. We thank you, Lord, for enriching their hearts with your grace. We ask you to provide the much needed rest and comfort. We also thank you for the young adults in the global community who are not only standing up and speaking up but also at the forefront of the global movement against the racial bias and injustice. May the spirit of this movement prevail and bring the justice so that equality, equity, and fairness would no longer be something people have to fight for.
Lord, we are blessed with your gift of new lives. We thank you and pray for the new babies given to Marie/Jacob’s family, Sunny/James’ family, and Minjoo/Adrian’s family. As Ruth/Steve’s family is also expecting their first child, we ask you, Lord, to bless all the families. Also as we are celebrating the Father’s Day today, bless all the fathers who have been carrying yoke of carrying the family and being the pillar of the family, a cheerleader of the family, and even a warrior for the family when needed. Lord, there is a large number of aging parents in our community who need your compassion and companionship the most. We ask you to keep them all healthy and safe in this time of trial.
As we hear your words of truth through your faithful servant, Rev Park, we open our hearts with thirst. Nourish this heart, Lord, so that the seeds of faith, hope, and promise you are sowing today will grow and flourish in the fertile soil. May our worship be pleasing to you.
We prayed in Jesus name,
Amen
