The Light of Life

The Light of Life

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.’

–       John 8:12

We need the light that gives us life. We have much darkness within us. This darkness darkens our thoughts, our hearts and our life. The only thing that can defeat the darkness is the light. But I cannot create the light. When we come to Jesus who is the light, then the light will shine upon us and then we will have the light.

Lord, please shine on me. May the darkness go away and your light fill my heart. Amen

인생의 빛

예수께서 또 말씀하여 이르시되 나는 세상의 빛이니 나를 따르는 자는 어둠에 다니지 아니하고 생명의 빛을 얻으리라.

–       요한복음 8:12

생명을 주는 빛이 우리에게 필요하다. 우리 속에는 어두움이 많다. 그 어두움이 우리의 생각을, 우리의 마음을, 우리의 인생을 어둡게 한다. 어둠을 물리칠 수 있는 것은 빛 밖에 없다. 그러나 그 빛은 내가 만들지 못한다. 오직 빛이신 주님 앞에 나올 때, 그 빛이 나에게 임하게 되고 그 때, 그 빛을 얻게 된다.

주님, 나에게 주님의 빛을 비추소서. 어두움이 물러가고 내 인생에 빛이 임하게 하소서. 아멘.
