Let Us Ponder Before We Speak

The mind of the righteous ponders how to answer, but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil. The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous. The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, and good news refreshes the body. The ear that heeds wholesome admonition will lodge among the wise. Those who ignore instruction despise themselves, but those who heed admonition gain understanding. The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom, and humility goes before honour.

Let us ponder before we speak. Words will be given to us to answer. When we speak as we feel like, we will pour out evil.

Lord, help me to guard my mouth. Amen.

의인의 마음은 대답할 말을 깊이 생각하여도 악인의 입은 악을 쏟느니라.여호와는 악인을 멀리 하시고 의인의 기도를 들으시느니라. 눈이 밝은 것은 마음을 기쁘게 하고 좋은 기별은 뼈를 윤택하게 하느니라. 생명의 경계를 듣는 귀는 지혜로운 자 가운데에 있느니라.훈계 받기를 싫어하는 자는 자기의 영혼을 경히 여김이라 견책을 달게 받는 자는 지식을 얻느니라. 여호와를 경외하는 것은 지혜의 훈계라 겸손은 존귀의 길잡이니라.

말하기 전에 깊이 생각하자. 대답할 말이 주어질 것이다.기분에 따라 말을 하다 보면 우리의 입에서 악이 쏟아져 나오게 된다.
