For this reason, since the day we heard it, we have not ceased praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may lead lives worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, as you bear fruit in every good work and as you grow in the knowledge of God. May you be made strong with all the strength that comes from his glorious power, and may you be prepared to endure everything with patience, while joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has enabled you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the light.

Memory Verse: “May you be made strong with all the strength that comes from his glorious power.” (Colossians 1.11)
First of all, we need wisdom and understanding so that we may clearly understand God’s will for us. Then we should act out what we know so that we may bear fruit. In the process, we will get to know God more deeply. Our wrong perception about God will be corrected. Our narrow and shallow view of God will be broadened and deepened.
Lord, help me understand you more deeply every day. Amen.
이로써 우리도 듣던 날부터 너희를 위하여 기도하기를 그치지 아니하고 구하노니 너희로 하여금 모든 신령한 지혜와 총명에 하나님의 뜻을 아는 것으로 채우게 하시고 주께 합당하게 행하여 범사에 기쁘시게 하고 모든 선한 일에 열매를 맺게 하시며 하나님을 아는 것에 자라게 하시고 그의 영광의 힘을 따라 모든 능력으로 능하게 하시며 기쁨으로 모든 견딤과 오래 참음에 이르게 하시고 우리로 하여금 빛 가운데서 성도의 기업의 부분을 얻기에 합당하게 하신 아버지께 감사하게 하시기를 원하노라.

제일 먼저 필요한 것이 지혜와 총명이다. 그것으로 하나님의 뜻을 잘 아는 것이 중요하다. 그 다음에 우리는 행함으로 열매를 맺어야 한다. 그러는 가운데 우리는 하나님을 더 깊이 깨달아야 한다. 하나님에 대한 잘못된 생각이 고쳐지고,하나님에 대한 우리의 작고 얇은 생각이 넓어지고 깊어져야 한다.
주님, 매일 하나님에 대한 이해가 깊어지게 하소서. 아멘.
