These weeks will center around the story of Abraham. He was called to leave everything he knew and go off toward a land that God would show. Our life consists of departing what is familiar to embark on a new journey. This is what many of our forebears did as immigrants. This is a meaningful metaphor for life.
Children will learn that faith is trusting God through uncertain situations. They will engage in crafts and activities that delve further into this theme. They will work on a production that explores various aspects of the theme of journeying. Most of all, they will learn that this journey can be filled with great joy and love. Life really is about the journey, not the destination!
These weeks will be an unforgettable experience of journeying. Give your kids a summer they’ll never forget!
