The Inward Being

You desire truth in the inward being; therefore teach me wisdom in my secret heart. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

–     Psalm 51:6, 7

Memory Verse: “You desire truth in the inward being; therefore teach me wisdom in my secret heart.” (Psalm 51:6)

God sees our inward being. The inward being is not what we show on the surface but what is deep within us. What we show on the surface is often deceptively good. Our real self is our inward being. Only our inward being will understand the wisdom of God.

Lord, help me to take off my false self and teach me Your wisdom in my secret heart. Amen.

보소서 주께서는 중심이 진실함을 원하시오니 내게 지혜를 은밀히 가르치시리이다. 우슬초로 나를 정결하게 하소서 내가 정하리이다 나의 죄를 씻어 주소서 내가 눈보다 희리이다.

하나님은 우리의 중심을 보신다. 중심이라고 하는 것은 겉으로 보이는 모습이 아니라, 우리 속에 있는 모습을 말한다. 우리의 겉의 모습은 아름답게 치장되어 있지만 그것은 우리의 진정한 모습은 아니다. 내가 진정으로 누군가 하는 것은 나의 중심이다. 주의 지혜를 깨닫는 것은 나의 중심이다.

주님, 거짓을 버리게 하시고 내 중심이 주의 지혜를 깨닫게 하소서. 아멘.
