Being Intimately Connected with God
Jesus said to them, ‘Very truly, I tell you, the Son can do nothing on his own, but only what he sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, the Son does likewise. The Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing; and he will show him greater works than these, so that you will be astonished.
– John 5.19-20
Memory Verse: “The Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing; and he will show him greater works than these, so that you will be astonished.” (John 5:20)
While on earth, Jesus was intimately connected with God. He did nothing on his own. In his intimate connection with God, he saw clearly what God was doing in this world and he did it with the help of God. Jesus showed us, human beings, how we ought to live our life. As Jesus was intimately connected with God, let us be connected with God.
Lord, as I am intimately connected with you, give me your wisdom and strength to do your work. Amen.

그러므로 예수께서 그들에게 이르시되 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 아들이 아버지께서 하시는 일을 보지 않고는 아무 것도 스스로 할 수 없나니 아버지께서 행하시는 그것을 아들도 그와 같이 행하느니라.아버지께서 아들을 사랑하사 자기가 행하시는 것을 다 아들에게 보이시고 또 그보다 더 큰 일을 보이사 너희로 놀랍게 여기게 하시리라.

예수님은 이 땅에 사시면서 하나님과 아주 긴밀히 연결된 삶을 사셨다. 스스로 일을 하시지 않으셨다.하나님과 긴밀히 연결된 가운데 예수님은 하나님께서 이 땅에 하시고 있는 일들을 정확히 보셨고, 하나님의 도움을 받아 예수님도 그 일을 하셨다. 예수님은 우리 인간이 어떻게 살아야 하는 것을 보여 주셨다. 예수님이 하나님과 깊이 연결된 것처럼, 하나님과 하나 되는 삶을 살자.
주님, 하나님과 깊은 관계를 맺으며 하나님의 일을 감당할 수 있는 힘과 지혜를 얻게 하소서.아멘.
