God Who Never Drives Us Away

Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe. Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and anyone who comes to me I will never drive away; for I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day.

Memory Verse: “Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and anyone who comes to me I will never drive away.” (John 6:37)

God never drives away those who come to Him. No matter how broken we may be, God always embraces us. As the father embraces the prodigal son, God embraces us. As the father throws an extravagant party for the son, God gives us the abundance. That is the secret of God’s grace.

Lord, I come to you. Accept me as I am and transform me in Your image. Amen.

우리를 내쫓지 아니하시는 하나님

예수께서 이르시되 나는 생명의 떡이니 내게 오는 자는 결코 주리지 아니할 터이요 나를 믿는 자는 영원히 목마르지 아니하리라. 그러나 내가 너희에게 이르기를 너희는 나를 보고도 믿지 아니하는도다 하였느니라. 아버지께서 내게 주시는 자는 다 내게로 올 것이요 내게 오는 자는 내가 결코 내쫓지 아니하리라. 내가 하늘에서 내려온 것은 내 뜻을 행하려 함이 아니요 나를 보내신 이의 뜻을 행하려 함이니라. 나를 보내신 이의 뜻은 내게 주신 자 중에 내가 하나도 잃어버리지 아니하고 마지막 날에 다시 살리는 이것이니라.

암송구절: “아버지께서 내게 주시는 자는 다 내게로 올 것이요 내게 오는 자는 내가 결코 내쫓지 아니하리라.” (요한복음 6:37)

하나님께 오는 자를 하나님께서는 절대로 내쫓지 아니하신다. 내가 아무리 부족해도 하나님께 올 때에 하나님은 우리를 품으신다. 돌아온 탕자를 품으시는 아버지처럼 하나님께서 우리를 품으신다. 돌아온 탕자에게 잔치를 베풀어 주신 것처럼 우리에게 풍성함을 허락하신다. 이것이 하나님의 은혜의 비밀이다.

주님, 주님 앞에 나옵니다. 내 모습 이대로 나를 받아주시고 나를 주님의 형상으로 변화시켜 주소서. 아멘.
