Join a Committee in 2026!
St. Timothy is the body of Christ that God has given to us. All members are called to partake in the body and actively be a part of it. Please consider how you may use the gifts God has given you for the building up of Christ’s body!
Below are descriptions of the committees for 2026. Please reach out with any questions and if you would like to be part of it!
Worship
Committee Chair: Jisook Kyun
The church exists to worship God. That is the centre of who we are and what we do. Worship is our greatest priority.
The Worship Committee takes care of the details that go into our weekly worship service: music, audio-visual elements, choir, communion, greeting people, and everything else related to the worship of God.
Please join this committee if you feel called to lift up the quality of our worship to God!
Newcomers and Membership
Committee Chairs: Joon Kim
This committee will be responsible for the spiritual care and integration of new members.
Our theme for 2026 is “Be Bold in the Spirit!” Sharing the good news and welcoming new members into the life of the Spirit through St. Timothy is an important vision for the next year.
Please consider being part of this!
Finance and Stewardship
Committee Chairs: Jennie Jang and Peter Park
This committee plays a dual role: managing the ongoing finances for the church, as well as cultivating the spirituality of giving and stewardship in the church.
Mission
Committee Chair: Jennie Jang
Co-Chairs: John Chung and Helen Jun
The church exists for mission. Its calling is to share the good news of Jesus Christ and invite others into the life of the Spirit. The church is called to walk with the weak and marginalized and seek justice.
We have three specific areas of partnership at the moment:
- Sioux Valley Dakota Nation in Manitoba
- Partner churches in Cuba
- Evangel Hall Mission in downtown Toronto
The church also hosts an annual Mission Dinner. We raise awareness of the mission work being done, and raise funds to support that work. It is always a highlight evening of great food, entertainment, and blessings for mission!
The Mission Committee plays the central planning role in our mission work. Your ideas and contributions are needed!
Building and Maintenance
Committee Chair: James Lee
God has blessed our church with a beautiful building! It is both a blessing and responsibility to maintain our building. In and through the building, many lives are touched with the presence of God. We worship God, have fellowship, learn the Word of God, and have spiritual encounters with God and one another.
Make your faithful service in the upkeep of our building part of your worship to God!
Media
Committee Chair: Grace Bai
How can we share the good news of Jesus Christ effectively in this day and age?
That is the central question driving this committee.
This committee will create a vision and plan for how to best communicate who St. Timothy is and how the good news takes shape in and through this church.
Through the website, video, social media and other digital platforms, this committee will do groundbreaking work on sharing the good news!
Retirement
Committee Chair: Peter Park
Our church is blessed to have many mature members. Many of them are in or approaching retirement. This committee will focus on the spiritual needs of our mature members.
Our church will be a place of blessing, reflection and fellowship for the mature members of our congregation. We need your help to make it happen!
30th Anniversary
Committee Chair: Rev. Simon Park
God has blessed our church for many years! In 2026, we will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the church.
We want to reflect spiritually on where we have been, and where God is taking us.
It will be a year filled with celebration, thanksgiving, reflection and prayer. Please join us in planning and leading the congregation in celebrating the past and next 30 years of St. Timothy!
