Assurance of Faith

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Indeed, by faith our ancestors received approval.

–       Hebrews 11:1-2

When we have faith, we are able to experience the reality of life. The things we hope for and think about don’t remain as concepts but they come alive as reality.

This is the evidence of faith. When life comes alive and when things we have hoped for, become reality, then we are able to believe that God is alive.

As we live with faith, we will be able to experience many wonderful and unimaginable new world opens up to us.

Lord, help me grant me faith. Help me to live everyday with faith. And through this faith, help me to see things I couldn’t see before. Amen.

믿음의 확신 

믿음은 바라는 것들의 실상이요 보지 못하는 것들의 증거니 선진들이 이로써 증거를 얻었느니라.

–       히브리서 11:1-2

믿음을 가질 때 우리는 삶의 실체를 경험한다. 우리가 바라고 생각하는 것들이 그저 개념으로 남아 있는 것이 아니라 바로 실체가 된다.

이것이 믿음의 증거다. 우리의 삶이 살아나고, 우리가 바라는 것들이 우리의 삶에 일어나기 시작할 때, 우리는 하나님께서 살아 계시다고 하는 것을 깨닫게 된다.

믿음으로 우리의 삶을 살아갈 때 우리는 많은 놀라운 경험들을 하게 될 것이다. 가능치 않다고 생각했던 것들이 가능하다는 것을 깨닫게 되고, 내가 상상할 수 없는 새로운 세계가 우리에게 열리기 시작한다.

주님, 나에게 믿음을 허락하여 주소서. 믿음으로 하루 하루를 살아가게 하소서. 믿음으로 이전에 보지 못했던 것을 볼 수 있게 하여 주소서. 아멘.
