St. Tim's Youth Camp

Leadership is not reserved only for those who are special, popular, and gifted. God called Moses at an old age to lead a nation of people out of slavery. Jesus called a group of fishermen and even a tax collector to be his disciples. St. Paul called young, timid and inexperienced Timothy to care for one of the communities he founded.

Leadership is for everyone.

Old or young, God calls all of us to be leaders—in every aspect of our life. We are called to be a blessing to our family, our friends, and our neighbours. Being a leader has less to do with possessing a certain set of skills but more with cultivating our character. Leadership, in other words, flows from who we are.

This year, students (grades 7-9) attending St. Tim’s Youth Camp will have a chance to explore and discover their leadership. Through the stories of Scripture and a time of sharing, discussion and personal reflection, they will delve deep into the “4 Qualities of Leadership”: Commitment, Compassion, Creativity, and Confidence. Students will also have a chance to apply what they have learned in joint activities with the Kids Camp, as well as in their collaborative musical projects which they will present to the families and friends every two weeks.
